Mont started in 1978 with Andrew "Monty" Montgomery, a borrowed sewing machine and a sleeping bag he'd made because nothing on the shelf was good enough. Four decades on, the company is still independent

We went looking for a proper ultralight tent to sit alongside the rest of our shelters, and the Moondance is what we landed on. It's the tent for people counting grams: the Moondance 1 packs down to 13 x 28cm and weighs 1,485g all-in, with 25% more floor space than the average one-person tent, so you're not paying for that low weight with a coffin to sleep in. The Moondance 2 comes in just over 2kg for two people and two porches.
