All garments made with genuine Nikwax Analogy or Páramo fabrics can be recycled as part of this scheme (except underwear). Damaged garments are also accepted. It is important to note that all garments are clean before sending them back.

What Happens To The Old Clothes?

Paramo will either re-use or recycle it into new fabric.

Their aim is to re-use the garment before recycling, so if an old garment can be refurbished at reasonable cost, in their workshop they will do so.

If an item is beyond repair, it is stripped of any useful components and baled up ready for shipping to a specialist recycling facility. Unlike traditional textile recycling Paramo use a chemical recycling process which preserves the value and quality of the material. This means that the material doesn’t end up in the downcycling process which ends up in landfill and your old garment will become high quality fabric rather than cheap and disposable cushion filling.
